PlatformIO
Cross-platform, multi-framework embedded development environment and build tool.
https://platformio.orgUpdate history
PlatformIO Core now requires Python 3.9 or newer, drops PVS-Studio static analysis support, and upgrades its SCons build engine to 4.11.1; it also adds a combined --port option for pio run, an environment variable to disable upgrade checks, an option to skip the udev rules check, and fixes numerous bugs including a ZIP path traversal security vulnerability and Windows-specific path and testing failures. Because Python 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8 are no longer supported, users must upgrade their Python interpreter to 3.9 or later to continue running PlatformIO Core.
Matters for: Embedded developers running PlatformIO on Windows or through pipx/uvx-managed Python environments, and those relying on PVS-Studio static analysis or older Python 3.6-3.8 toolchains.
